Did this bird attack to protect the Bear? (1 Viewer)

Looks like a small Accipiter (Sharp-shinned?) in hunting mode, low to the ground to minimise the chance of detection by prey, perhaps targeting something low down and to your right, maybe even using your slow moving vehicle as cover on its way in. It seemed to pull up just before it disappeared, as if in the final stages of attack, so there is a possibility it was after some small beast spooked by the car.

We were all locals, Bird Bear and Truck

I just lived 50 yards from the attack point.
The bird most likely knew me and the truck.
We had seen bears in the area a number of times that fall.
Obviously the Bear and the Bird seen us more than we saw them.

The brakes squeaked, bear got spooked, bird attacks. People startled.
