The flock of skylark in this vicinity all appear to have left following recent snow (c.5cm cover). I suspect they move to lower, snow free areas, on this occasion to be found only 5km distant. They have not returned, a repeat of what we have seen following heavy snow a few years ago when populations were very hard hit, and had only just showed signs of recovery following the last two very mild winters.
Mainly forgetting corvids, gulls, non-natives, pigeons and tits.
