Hi.
I have just booked this years holiday to Sri Lanka and have a week in Yala national park mainly looking for Leopards but wondered if anyone could help with any birding info site's, species etc.
Many thanks !

You can go to "Bundala". Its nearby Yala National Park. About 30-40 Kilometers.

If you stay in Colombo, Bellanwila - Atthidiya is a good location to bird watch. Good luck.

Yala is a very good place, you'll be falling over yourself with the number of birds - both inside the reserve and in the area just outside, perticularly the bunds and river estuary. I'll see if I can dig out my notes and will post up
