Touch-up rubber armor??? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone painted on replacement rubber on their scope body? My Kowa has several spots worn completely off where my hand rests while focusing. I phoned the USA Kowa distributor, and Eagle Optics - my retailer, and neither knows of an appropriate product. Hardware stores have "Plasti-Dip" or similar, but only in primary colors, and white and black. The Kowa has a very light green color armor. I guess black would be no worse than the black hard-shell that's showing through now. Years ago, I heard of shops "re-armoring" equipment. Any helpful ideas appreciated.
