centaurea sp? observed in Iran-kurdestan (1 Viewer)

Not a Centaurea (which is a member of Asteraceae subfamily Carduoideae). Not sure what genus it is, but definitely something in the Asteraceae subfamily Cichorioideae.

There are various books suitable for beginners covering Britain / northern Europe. Unfortunately nothing that I know of covering the Flora of Iran (which is why I'm unable to identify this one to genus!). You'll have to see what is available in Iran.
