River Warbler question? (1 Viewer)

I know very little about this but as its one of the birds I most want to listen to (preferably with excellent views!) I have an idea that your dates are spot on....but wait for others who know from experience ;)

river warblers tend to be late migrants. I cannot remember the exact dates but I did a weekend trip to Estonia a few years back in mid June specifically for these and great snipe. We had plenty of them singing so I feel you will be fine. Forest clearings seemed to be the best habitat and we had them throughout the daytime as well as at night.

Good luck in your quest

Indeed we did. But it was slightly earlier than mid-June - 6th to 8th.

All the best

Paul
