Can anyone identify this Locust species taken on Fuerteventura, Canary Islands in February 2018?

Any idea of length Robin, not convinced it's an Egyptian Grasshopper as it certainly doesn't look like the ones I see here in Cyprus but then Orthoptera can be very variable?

Its about two inches long. It has been suggested its a desert locust (Schistocerca gregaria) but I'm not sure how many similar species there are.
