Rosy Bird (1 Viewer)

Hi - I'm a newbie so please let me know if I'm making any mistakes. I have a question. I was sitting on my deck with my grown up daughter. I have a glass plate filled with water so birds can come and get a drink. One day while we were sitting on the deck along came this beautiful, little rosy bird. It was very small - not even 4 inches. I don't remember the color of the bill, but it was absolutely rose colored (not red) all over. I'm dying to know if anyone knows who this beauty was. Any help?
Regards,
Sid (I'm a female)

Purple Finch would be my guess as well although I still think they should be called Raspberry Finch ;)

Hi there and a warm welcome to you from the entire staff here at BirdForum :t:

Purple finch this time of year in St. Paul would be unusual - they are in Northern MN at the moment. I am guessing House Finch.
