D90 and ML-L3 problem (1 Viewer)

Feathered one

Well-known member
It maybe me but....

Bought both new today, but cant get the ML-L3 to operate the shutter.
Have tried a new battery in the ML-L3 , still not working.
Is there anywhere in the menu to set, or does it only work in certain programme modes. I know the recieve sensor is at the front of the camera.
Any suggestions appreciated please.

Nikon doesn't list the ML-L3 as a compatible accessory, not having one have you checked?

Thanks Steve
The instruction book on page 241 lists it as compatible, but I suppose the book could be wrong.
There is an A4 list of Errata with the instruction book as well.
I didn't want the ML-L3 remote really, I wanted the Remote cord DC2 but seems there is a shortage, couldn't get one locally, will have to look on the net.
It is pouring with rain here now so can't really give the camera a try out yet|!||!|

I think on the D90 you can press and hold the Release Mode button on the top right above the AF button. Then turn the Main Command Dial until the Remote icon appears.

cheers,
Rick
