Beetle i.d. (Mintleaf Beetle???) (1 Viewer)

Looking through various websites the nearest I can get is the Mintleaf Beetle.
Problem is the info' says it is found from the Midlands down-this was in Cheshire.
Any info' appreciated....thanks.

I suspect this is probably a different Chrysolina species as the Mint Beetle, C. herbacea (=menthastri) is usually an iridescent green colour in my experience of it.

Think I'll stick to birds!!!!
Someone told me recently that Darwin was quoted as saying "God has an inordinate liking for beetle".......I think that is spot on.

I had doubts that it was a Chrysolina but I must admit I've never heard of this one, although I'm sure it's more likely (assuming it's british)
