Hi there, I've just got back from South Cuba and seen a few new and exciting breeds, but one has got me a bit stumped, so I've joined this group to see if anyone can help, please? Immediately after a storm had passed and the air pressure was still high I saw around a dozen swift like birds aerial feeding, but they were large, as in around 15cm in length (though I would say the wing span was possibly a bit longer), and dark brown on the back all over except for a thick white band (about 1 cm) across each wing near the tip. The wing tips seemed quite rounded and not profiled to a point as you might expect. The full wing span with rounded tips gave me the impression of a boomerang. Anyone got any ideas?
