Capito tucinkae (1 Viewer)

Jiří Mlíkovský has kindly advised me that tucinka is a rare Moravian Czech pet-name term, used for female pet animals and, occasionally, for young girls. The name is restricted to Moravia, where von Seilern und Aspang lived. I have suggested to him that it may refer to Helene, the count's daughter born in 1913 (the year of the descriptive article for Capito tucinkae), and I await his reply with interest.

Jiří has confirmed that Graf von Seilern und Aspang's first daughter, Ilona Maria Caroline, was born in Munich on 1 March 1913, and that the description of Capito tucinkae was published, in Munich, on 5 December 1913. There is no concrete proof that tucinkae was named for this little girl, but the probability is high. He also remarks that Helene and Helena are Czech and German variants of Ilona (who died in 1993).
