Raccoons in Scotland (1 Viewer)

Oh Lor'.... Live trap it pronto and get more camera traps out to make sure there aren't any more.

They do escape occasionally, one was reported in Southampton (I think) on the Big Garden Birdwatch a few years ago. Wester Ross is the sort of place where a very small group could build up unnoticed then burst out all over - best take no chances.

I hardly think this is a case of German Raccoons trying Operation Sealion by Britain's back door, though.

One of my favorite critters--at least from a safe distance--cunning and imaginatively destructive. But you don't want them where they're not native. . ..

I am not a raccoon lover. Mainly because they have managed to destroy and also drag off a few hundred dollars worth in feeders from my yard. Law won't allow me to relocate them so I am seriously considering another option.
