Hello Everyone,
Good to meet you and good to be here. I haven't done much birding since I moved to Manhattan 6 years ago, and for a few years before that, come to think of it. I've decided that I can no longer deprive myself of the pleasures of nature and birding and recently joined my local Audubon Society. Now I have to update my optics. My old (nearly 14 year old) Bausch and Lomb 10x need to be replaced, ( I picked them up and ralized the eyecups had rotted away). I am considering the Nikon Monarch 8x42.
That's it for now, just wanted to say "Hi" and wish you all happy birding.

Hello Mpav nice to meet you. I am a fellow NY state person, only about 1 1/2 hours away from the big city. My brother recently bought the Nikon Monarch 8x42's and I have to say they are great. - good choice.

Welcome to the Forum! Manhattan attracts many bird watchers from the suburbs, so we may be fortunate to be domiciled on this island.

Happy bird watching,
Arthur Pinewood :hi:

Thanks for the warm welcome. Special thanks to Danehower for the Monarch thumbs up. The international flavor of the forum is terrific.
