Yes normal place
Firecrest usually approx 40-50yds right hand path in the holly bushes usually on the left but also to the right. Also leafy path in to hollies directly behind triple finger post. In open clearing about 30 yds. Best of luck.per Hughie King

Thank you. Once on site, these instructions proved to be very precise.
Sadly no joy. We were there around 10.45 for half an hour or so.

42 species recorded in a whistlestop couple of hours around Swan Pool and Forge Mill. Sadly not the Brambling, as the 20 mins we were in the Visitor Centre coincided with the guy fixing the roller shutter over the side door by the feeders and the loud metallic bangs weren't proving popular with the birds. Still plenty on and off the feeders though, including several Nuthatches and at least one Willow Tit.

Nothing unexpected or not repeatedly reported on this thread already.

from the Hide Mute Swan x24, Shoveler x24, Goosander x33, Wigeon x9, Pochard x13, Gadwall x17, Teal x3, Lapwing x8 and Snipe x3 per Craig Reed
