King or Clapper Rail? (1 Viewer)

Recently unearthed some old photos of a rail species from Late March/Early April 2007 from a trip to Louisiana.

Unfortunately I can't remember where exactly they were taken...which is not helpful when range/habitat is a primary factor in ID.

Additionally, given that the two species have been known to interbreed on the gulf coast, I'm not 100% sure I can make a call 13 years later but figured I'd post this here and see what the consensus is.

I think the strong contrast white-black on the rear flanks are more likely on King than Clapper.
