Pelican from Zakouma, Chad (1 Viewer)

Photos taken first week of March 2018. A huge number of Great White Pelicans around, the one in the foreground was the odd one out - is this a juv. Great White? Or a Pink-Backed?

the small area of skin around the eye with a hint of a black line developping behind the eye, as well as the size are all good for Pink-backed
 
Note also the pointed extension of the feathering below the lower mandible, absent in Great white. How are things going in and around Zakouma nowadays ?
