Grebe? Something else? Fellows Lake, Missouri (1 Viewer)

All,
I was fishing today and saw this guy (or gal) among a small bunch of coots at Fellows Lake just north of Springfield, MO.

It looks like a horned grebe to me. Seems a little out of place though. Thoughts? It definitely dove a few times while I was watching. My apologies for the picture quality...I took them at quite a distance with a 55mm lens and cropped the hell out of them. Serves me right for not having a telephoto while fishing.

Thanks,
Andy

Cool. Thanks. I don't know what else it could be. If it wasn't so out of place, I wouldn't doubt it as much. Still, nothing else fits the combination.

Thanks,
AII
