Hi

Has anyone tried this fairly new device?

It has a built in camera and automatically connects to the Merlin Bird app on a mobile phone to identify a bird. This, I believe, could be particularly useful for identifying unfamiliar birds whilst on holiday abroad.

Has anyone tried this device and if so, how effective is it and what is the quality of the optics like on the monocular and the built in camera?

This seems to be a very useful tool to have out in the field in foreign locations with rare species of bird. I'm not so sure about UK use though
