Allen's or Rufous Hummingbird, California (1 Viewer)

I normally have both species here in northern California and wanted to make sure this adult male is a Rufous and not an Allen's.

I'd appreciate your comments.

I would go for Allen's Hummingbird here. I am not seeing the distinct notch anywhere that a male Rufous should have on its R2, but I am seeing very narrow tail feathers, which is consistent with Allen's, and even those Rufous that do have green backs rarely have them as extensively green as this.
