Wetland Created in urban area.

A 1450 acre plot of land in Harris Co. Texas (northeast Houston), originally scheduled for housing has been turned into a wetlands nature reserve.

Originally purchased in early 1990's from the developers it now has been fully transformed. Almost 300 species of birds have already been spotted within its boundaries.

No visits allowed yet; but they are thinking about it.

It's good to hear of habitat creation instead of habitat destruction for a change. enjoy.
