Can't see this in Waring, I believe that both moths are the same species.

Could they be a race of Yellow Horned?

Not with those antennae. I think it's probably one of the dark morphs of the Pale Tussock.

that makes sense, Pale Tussock was in y mind at one point but hadn't realised there was a dark morph.
