First bird 2020 (1 Viewer)

English Sparrows, aka House Sparrows, beat out the pigeons for the honor.
I heard them before I saw them, they were foraging on New Years leftovers.

Don't remember the first bird, so I will go with the first bird picture. Song Sparrow.

As per usual as I looked out of the kitchen window first thing the usual woodpigeons were sitting in the neighbours tree. I deliberately sat with a fixed gaze on my feeders in the hope that something else might show before I inevitably looked up into the trees. Oh well 5 out of 5 years now the woodpig.

Five minutes later as daylight broke fully, a Robin was hopping around on my patio closely followed by a dunnock and Blackbird. First to visit the feeders a few minutes later was a Great tit
