Habicht IPD? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm looking for a high quality view and a very low interpupillary distance. I'm aware Swarovski lists 56mm as the minimum IPD for the Habicht 8x30's and 10x40's, but...

This review states 47mm for the minimum IPD on the 10x40: https://www.allbinos.com/index.html?test=lornetki&test_l=112 , and these images seem to show considerable remaining space to close the hinge beyond the 56mm mark on the 8x30's: https://www.birdforum.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=575862&d=1457104163 and http://www.greatestbinoculars.com/images/Swaro Habicht 8x30w 16.jpg .

I've searched here and elsewhere for clarification, and not finding anything was wondering if anyone who owns a recently made pair of either the 8's or 10's, and some calipers, would be willing to measure and update here? If so, many thanks in advance...

Very best!

Welcome to Birdforum.

It seems 47 mm is an accurate measurement for the 8x30 Habicht.

That is very narrow and should fit anyone.
