Hi can anyone ID this plant species? I've had a search and closest I could come was an Algea possibly blue green? but growing by a wall (of a roman ruin) not really near water.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

This is no Slime-Mould. Ashley's spot on with a cyanobacterium, most probably Nostoc commune.

Cheers,
Nick
