Very plain bird ID, Arizona, USA

The below photographs were taken today at two locations in Tucson, Arizona.

These are very plain birds with almost no unique features. They may be the same species. The best I could come up with an ID was a female Cowbird.

Brown-headed for both; note the dark eye and fairly stout bill.

Bronzed has a red eye, and Shiny a thinner bill.
