I'm told they are probably the offspring of unofficial releases last year - by one individual. Certainly not 'real' records!

Morning.

A Large Tortiseshell has been photographed last week in a wood in Kent, 10+ miles (ish) from Canterbury. There have been occasional sightings around Kent over the last couple of years. I know off the top of my head one see on the North Downs.

What are the chances of a migrant coming out of hibernation?
 
Piggybacking on this thread - the east coast has seen a major influx in the last fortnight - 7 in Norfolk, 3 in suffolk. Considering the reduced coverage there must be more drifting over.
