night vision pt2 (1 Viewer)

salty

geordie birder
been a few years since i had a decent night vision scope.......last post is here:

http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=31247&highlight=nightvision&page=2

im now using a mini-14 mono-goggle gen2+

this can be used with the headstrap for hands free viewing, or just as a small hand held pocket scope.

fantastic quality and clarity, 65lpmm on par with many 3gen scopes.

i will add some pics i took with an iphone to the back of it.........obviously the real image is clearer.

Nice! I have been wanting some for a while. How is the resolution for birding on these things? Like, could you pick out rails from a boardwalk or identify various night birds with this? Or would they just look like little bird-ish blobs? Also, have you tried gen 1 night vision? That is about all I could fit into my budget now.
