I'm looking to purchase a second hand set tomorrow for £1400 which seems a good price for a set that still look new, do people here think that's a good price and will I regret not going for 8.5x42? My main use is bird watching both inland and cliffs but also any wildlife. I currrently have vortex razor hd 8x42 that the wife keeps wanting to use as she likes how clear they are compared to her Nikon monarch 7 8x30 and the vortex are light for their size.

Someone talk me out of this :eek!:
