Hello guys, A friend of mine as just bought the Sony A200 & Sigma DG 70-300mm lens kit, but when the sigma is attatched to the Sony It starts auto-focusing on its own without pressing any buttons. This might sound daft, but is this normal behaviour for the Sony A200 or any of the Sony's....

Sean..

cheers, should that stop the auto-focusing. would it be in the manual anyway & why does it do it anyway, do you know. Its really buggin him.

Hello Sean,
All Sonys DSLR cameras do it, it,s used for quick focusing. Has soon as you lift the camera up to focus it starts to focus it,s self. I use the A700 and its the same, has well as being anoying it runs the battery down fast.
