2019 UK Orchids (1 Viewer)

Common Spotteds

Mention of Gop Hill reminded me of a great display of Common Spotted Orchids on the roadside near there, just off the A55 near the McDonalds and just before the island with roads to Trelawnyd, Whitford and Lloc. Several Hundred unlikely to be mowed, some in nice clumps. Worth a 10 minute detour if you are passing next July or so.

No more orchids till 2020

Hi. I have updated my orchid hunting blog - from Early Spiders in March through to the ALTs in September. Check out 2019 under Outings here

When searching for the term you use 'UNREPUPINATE'. Google only comes up with your blog ;) which I enjoyed reading very much thank you Steve.

In adding my personal thanks to Steve - not only for his blog, but for his many invaluable contributions, which have sustained the life of this forum for another year - I would just add that I think that the word in question is probably "unresupinate"?

Thank you Martin that does look more reasonable 'flowers twisting through 180° so the lip is at the bottom'. I did not know it had a name.:t:
