Photo of fish? found on Worthing (UK) beach recently. No idea what it is or whether it is a fish at all. No one on Gallery knows what it is!

Any help appreciated.

Had a look at images online and fairly confident (last saw one c20 years ago!) - abraded edge to fin in image, head shape and mouth. Long sinuous body. Spots on that fin. Skin looks rough and correct for a shark (used as sandpaper in earlier times).

There may be other options, but looks ok to me.
