Ring necked Duck (1 Viewer)

A Ring necked Duck has been reported today at Ham Wall. Whilst observing the Fudge Duck yesterday at Glastonbury pit I and a few others agreed on seeing a hybrid Tufted/ Ring necked Duck. Is this the same bird?

Full on male Ring necked Duck now confirmed at Ham Wall. This must be a different bird to the one seen at Glastonbury Pit. This bird had a poor "spur" and no sign of any white at the base of the bill. It also appeared to have a slight crest. Attention was drawn initially to the spur and head shape but on further investigation it was decided to be a Tufted/Ring necked hybrid.
