Great White Egrets (1 Viewer)

Yes and has done for several years at both Ham Wall and Shapwick Heath. There is a colour ringing scheme now based there to establish movements from there.

Someone has told me that Cattle Egrets are now nesting now in the UK as well now. Is that true?
Ian.

I did some research and it turns out that two nested in 2008 in Somerset, but not since. They turn up at Ham Wall rarely.

Going back to the Great White Egrets you can see them very well at Ham Wall. On most of my visits I see at least one, normally on the first or second platform. Two Glossy Ibises have also been hanging around the resevevening for over a year. :)
