Lothian Young Birder
Another year, another yearlist, but this time started in Norfolk and East Anglia. This year, with increasing time spent down in Norfolk, my yealist target is 220. A very good start to the year, with 85 species seen already, a number of which are rare or difficult species to see and with plenty of common species still to see. up to 101 after a sensational day's gulling - 9 Iceland Gulls and a Kumlien's Gull. Kumlien's Gull is a subspecies of Iceland Gull so is therefore not year-tickable. However, in the futurue this will become an armchair lifer and year tick.

after another fantastic day's winter birding yesterday the yearlist has moved up to 116 species - see highlights on first post.

I have now moved up to 131 for the year, having seen a few commoner species recently. See yearlist for updates.

After over a week in Norfolk, the year list has moved up to 153 species. See list above for highlights and other new year ticks.

Sporadic spring birding due to the exams has seen some decent birds and the yearlist rise to 173 species since I last updated. See OP for highlights.

Up to 177 with a few locally common species that I was yet to catch up with, see list above for updates.

Up to 184 with a couple of nice Nearctic duck sp. during the weekend. See above list for more.

I am now back from three weeks away. This saw me spending a week each in Herefordshire, Somerset and Norfolk, all of which produced nice birds. In these counties a good deal of new birds for the year were seen, taking the yearlist up to 202. See list above for more.

In what's been a fantastic autumn so far and trips to Shetland and Norfolk being productive, I'm now up to 225 species. Highlights can be seen above.
