Not sure why I included the question mark, because the ID is pretty easy. Still, considering I've never seen one more than a couple of feet off the ground, it was a little startling to see one on my balcony on the 14th floor of our apartment building.

Oh my. Turns out they were just starting to build a nest in the vent of our clothes dryer. Just a few loose palm leaves. Removed that and covered the vent for the time being. They were pretty persistent, so I cleaned and dried out a liter milk jug and wrapped it in duct tape to protect from glaring sun. Secured that to the wall and put their initial nesting materials in it. Maybe I should have just removed all temptation and left them to find something more suitable.
