Pizzey & Knight Birds of Australia Android App (1 Viewer)

The content of this app is superb, the interface is well designed for easy access to all the features which can be seen here: http://www.gibbonmm.com.au/tour/PKBA_Android.aspx.

The bird calls are a nice plus over the print edition.

Unfortunately the exceptional content is let down by the very poor quality of the coding. The app crashes every minute or two. If this was a free app one could overlook this, but it costs a very expensive AU$50!

If you can tolerate the constant crashes this is a wonderful guide. It may work ok on your device, as there are only a few reports of the problem on Google Play.

The app for the Morcombe guide is stable for me on Android. It is also very good and has vocalizations. Have the P&K book, but not the app.

Hi Jim,

I have had the Morcombe guide for a few years and don't recall it ever crashing. I agree it's very good.

Cheers,

Don
