I see on the on Opticrons US website that these are being shown DBA Oasis S-Coat Mg as new model, is this just a body upgrade to reduce the weight ( I find the weight ok for me) with the exsiting optics being used ?
 
Hi Neil - yes, the optics remain the same. There is a new texture to the rubber armouring as well as the weight reduction from using magnesium alloy.

Just a bit of tweaking then to an all ready exellent pair of binoculars IMHO.
