Dear All,
I am a “when I get the time” birdwatcher and have muddled along happily with budget kit for the best part of a quarter of a century.
Recently bought a mint AT80HD with original 20-60 zoom second hand, and I’m really loving it.
A huge step-up from my prehistoric Swift Viewmaster with 22x wide as you can imagine!
I understand that “ye cannae defy the laws of physics, captain”, and that at 60x the zoom is going to be somewhat dull.
Thinking, therefore, about adding a 30x or 40x as I enjoy seawatching, and (as always) thought I would see if there are any reviews on the forum to see if it is worth the expense.
The review section is an excellent resource for anyone thinking of buying a scope.
(Had narrowed it down to a Nikon ED82A and the Swaro on the basis of so many helpful comments.)
Wondered if it would be worthwhile adding a section to the Equipment Reviews forum specifically reviewing eyepieces?
Just a thought for the mods.
Thank you for considering this.
