Drake Mandarin on Mill Pool this Morning.
10-12 Skylarks in fields off Brake Lane

5 Corn Buntings on the wires, along path from Mill Pool to Brake Lane, around noon

That’s nice to know re: CB

The max i had over on the fields were 4 singing males in May - maybe there were juveniles in that group?

Have been plodding this route for over 40 years, Early August 1975 ( 14 at the time) 30-50 C.B, Yellowhammers , Linnets, seemingly on every bush, hedge and stubble, A few Lapwings in the fields. As a I do when looking back, ignore juvenile enthusiasm/naivety.
Still it is what is.
