June birding (1 Viewer)

Catalonia, Spain

I think we've been here before as I seem to remember the tag name but just in case... Spain.

I'm about to upload a new summer birding page onto the web (in a week or so) but for now you could take a look at the following links to give you an idea of which species are about. In other words, a lot.

All the residents such as bustards, sandgrouse, lammergeier, etc. plus lots of summer visitors like Roller, Red-necked Nightjar, Rock Thrush and Orphean Warbler are much easier to find than during spring as they're camped out in their territories and very active and out in the open.

and here may be (second one is a photo gallery):

and each of my location pages (accessible via photo-link squares on my home page) have summer summaries.

Plus great food, great weather, cheap regular flights to Barcelona, Reus and Girona, etc.

As usual I'm happy to answer questions about the birding even if you're planning to go it alone.

all the best

Thank you, Edward and Stephen.

Both tempting and yes, Stephen we have corresponded before!

Regards,

Ann
