Flying Dragons (1 Viewer)

I've been amusing/frustrating myself trying to take photo's of Flying dragonflies. These are the best so far: Male emperor, pair of Broad bodied chasers ( I think ).
Taken with Sony A700 Sigma 400 F5.6 and sigma 1.4. ISO 1600 ( noisy ) 1/1000

Hi

I get the impression that they are Black-tailed Skimmers actually.

I agree with Odonate about the skimmers.

Nice shots btw, I know how frustrating it can be!

I second that - even getting an emp in frame is an achievement, let alone getting it in focus. I've got lots of video footage of blurs (with much swearing on the soundtrack) from my own attempts.
