This is a Willet? Right? (1 Viewer)

The first picture is the way I expect a Willet to look. But last week I took the second picture and he looks more like a Yellowlegs then what I'm used to. Same rather delicate look, and "cuter" face.

Nor is seeing a Willet some sort of unique expereince to me. I see them all the time.

Is this one of those Western Willets? A hybrid? Or just a normal Willet, having an off-color day?

I would go for Western Willet for the second photo, based on the long bill and pale neck.

Much thanks. There were other Willets around, all looking much like the first picture. This guy stood out like a sore thumb, looking much like a Yellowlegs in disguise... :gh:
