I have a Kowa 883 scope and want to digiscope using an iPhone SE or 7. Can you use an iphones camera functions without having an "active service Plan"? I just want to use the phone for photo purposes. Thanks!

Not an Apple user, but the phone should work just fine as a camera. The limitation will be that you can't send your pictures to someone else, although you can download them to your computer either via Bluetooth which is carrier independent or via a cable.

I may be wrong, but I think your phone will function on wifi. You just need a wifi connection to allow texting, email and sending pictures, Try it.

Yes and yes to the two above comments.

I currently use an Iphone 6S for my pics but I still have my 5S though it is no longer activated for ATT. You can still take all the pics you want and, as long as you are within WIFI range, use all the apps, your email and even texting (through your email address and not your phone number).
