Afternoon,
I am stopping over in the Loch Garten aren over the next week, I was looking for advice on what I am likely to see in the local area. Any help would be great

Hi Anthony.

Capercaillie a possibility. Black Grouse common in the area. Crested Tit around the feeders. Crossbill quite numerous. Check out fields in the area for Ring Ouzel. I had all these species including Golden Eagle at Findhorn Valley. This is approximately 12 miles North of Aviemore at Tomatin on the A9. Bon Obs as we say when birding in France. Lee

The best thing I can suggest is check out Gordon Hamlett's excellent book "Best Birdwatching Sites in Highland. There is also info on the latest sightings on the local Facebook group.....see below.
