This appears to be a Cape Glossy Starling (Lamprotornis nitens). Am I correct?

Geez, those eyes are the orangest (or is it "most orange") "eye" have ever seen...
Reminds me of a grackle, but apparently it isn't a grackle.

Yes, sure is Cape Glossy Starling. The yellow/orange eye, black thights and orange-purple shoulder-patch distinguish it from all other Lamprotornis in the region.

Gracklers belong to a family called New World Blackbirds (Icteridae). As the name may reveal, the only exist in the Americas.
