I recorded this House Martin yesterday in Qingdao, Shandong province, and the grayish brown face made me think it is a juv House Martin. there is no dark areas under the bill base, but the underwing coverts look very dark.
Asian House Martin or Common House Martin? They all have the chance to pass through Qingdao.
only two images.

Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for your help. I am still a bit confused. It seems that it is moulting the primaries. Is this OK for juv Common House Martin?

European House Martins have a complete moult in autumn/winter (postjuvenile as well as postbreeding). I assume it could be the same in lagopodum...
