Hello from WA, USA

Hello everyone. I am 65 and retired, and I am looking for a new hobby. That's how I ended up here. I have quite a few pairs of binoculars so far, but nothing real special.

Today I ordered a mint pair of Swift Audubon MkII 8.5x44's with the blue stripe, from a vendor in Great Britain. I am excited and can't wait to view through them. My current go to pairs are Nikon Aculon16x50 and Tecnar 7x50. I also have a Hawke Edurance ED 10x42 monocular that I carry when I am hiking and want to go light. I also have a pair of Japan made Celestron 11x80 giants that I use for stargazing, mostly on a tripod. But I have viewed birds with them and they do quite well, especially at dusk.

Anyway, I look forward to reading lots of posts, and learning as I go.

Cheers

Roger

Hello Roger,

Welcome to the Forum. You should be able to find plenty of information on bird and on binoculars in the Forum.

Stay safe,
Arthur
