Rare birds trapped by glue sticks (BBC News) (1 Viewer)

An excellent result.

Indeed it is, but why does our national broadcaster persist in equating "protected" with "rare". They may be on the at risk list because of declining population, but the last time I looked linnets and redpolls were not "rare" (the word used in the headline).
Whatever happened to accurate reporting from a broadcaster that apparently prides itself so much on its nature broadcasts?
