Turkey Mini-trip Jul or Aug (Fish Owl, Babbler) (1 Viewer)

This would just be a quick trip of 4 days max in-country to see the following:

Fly UK to Antalya
Brown Fish Owls (guided or boat as seems best - can discuss)

Fly internally to Birecik

Iraq Babbler / Chestnut-shouldered Sparrow (Birecik)
Drive 3 hours to Nemrut Dagi - Kurdistan Wheatear

Fly Birecik to cheapest Turkish international airport - home.

This trip is designed for people who have perhaps done the 'standard' Turkish itinerary before around 2012, when neither the fish owl nor babbler were realistic targets. Personally, having seen all of the other Turkish species in the Caucasus, I'm not looking to extend this and just want to focus on the four above.

Could be a good one for a long weekend. The fish owls are a 'mega' to see and I am keen to do a night safari with Soner Bekir if he is available.

Dates now locked down to 11-15 August (all species will still be present) with 2 participants. Sharing the fish owl trip reduces costs, so PM if interested.
